Germany | Critic Ratings as Head Winemaker
After graduating from Geisenheim University, I worked as head winemaker at Prinz-Salm Winery in Nahe and Eva Fricke Winery in Rheingau. The ratings below are from major critics for wines I produced at Eva Fricke Winery.

Since returning to Japan in September 2024, I have maintained ongoing involvement with multiple wineries. A selection of cases that can be shared publicly are listed below.

Technical foundation work across both viticulture and winemaking, with ongoing involvement aimed at quality stabilization and reproducibility.

Wineries in Hokkaido
Ongoing involvement with three wineries in Hokkaido. One includes contract winemaking. Another began as a Web Advisory engagement, working through monthly meetings to clarify working approach and technical judgment, and has since moved to full consulting.

Guest speaker, German wine seminar hosted by Wines of Germany
A masterclass for wine trade professionals, titled "German wine trends, as only a Japanese winemaker can tell them." Drawing on my own experience growing and making wine in Germany, I covered how viticultural and winemaking practice there has changed, and how climate change has affected the fruit, alongside a guided tasting. The material was pitched at practitioners: not an introduction to varieties and regions, but an account of technical change.
